Some have speculated that it's something to do with the Modern interface and FTAs that can cross both application areas, others that it's a security setting - but I think it's just completely stupid. The old "Folder Options Open With" in GPP worked absolutely fine. Add to this the fact that the XML files have to be maintained locally, and you get the feeling that you just took a load of backward steps from a management perspective. ![]() Why can't we just have an HKCU setting or User Configuration GPO to manage this? Although this method works, I can't help but think that a logon storm to a XenApp server, with all the XML file paths being written, read and committed from the same HKLM value at the same time, could potentially cause some issues. The whole idea of having to set an HKLM key which then is read into HKCU is utterly backward. ![]()
